Chef David Welch

David Welch is the Executive Chef and Director of Operations for Raffa’s Waterfront Grill in Kingwood, Texas. For the last six years, Chef Welch has been impressing Kingwood and Houston residents with his innovative and delicious, contemporary cuisine. Together with owner Tony Raffa, Chef Welch has been working to show patrons the fine dining experience that, they believe, can only be found at an intimate, privately-owned establishment.

Chef Welch was awarded the highest honor of a Grande Diplome de Cordon Bleu from the Cordon Bleu Ecole de Cuisine in Paris, France, and graduated first in his class in 1995. Chef Welch lived and worked in France for over three years, training under such reputable names as Chez Maxims, Guy Savoy and Fabrice Vullin. Upon returning to the United States in 1997, Chef Welch set his sights on the pursuit of fine cuisine and the challenge of running an efficient and successful kitchen. Eight years of hard-earned experience eventually led him to Tony Raffa of Amedeo’s in Kingwood and now he has partnered with Mr. Raffa for his newest exciting concept, Raffa’s Waterfront Grill.

General Manager Paul Griffin

Paul Griffin is a University Of Houston Alumni that truly “grew up” in the restaurant business. With over 22 years in restaurant management; Paul brings a wealth of experience to the Raffa’s team of professionals.

Paul has worked within a large variety of concepts including Italian, Asian, Caribbean, Mexican, Gulf Seafood and Texas BBQ. His experience is “well rounded” having mastered all facets from counter service through fine dining.
